VETA President Three:
"Clever" As Can Be!

One Past President purchased, with Victor Elementary Teachers Association funds, a large photocopy machine from the NEA/CTA High Desert (CA) Service Center Office. This machine was placed in his HOME and remained there for YEARS - even AFTER he quit the association. Even so, the association was expected to pay for "maintenance fees. Please note the two circled sections below (marked with *s). You will note that this machine was sitting in someone's home and that the "mailing address" of the Victor Elementary Teachers Association is EXACTLY the same as that of the Victor Elementary School District. By the time this bill was received, this machine had already spent a CONSIDERABLE amount of time in the home of this VETA Past-President. Also, when this invoice was received, this individual HAD ALREADY RESIGNED FROM VETA/CTA/NEA and had NOT been a member of the association for a long time!!!
