VETA Presidents Two:
Monkey See and Monkey Do

Two Victor Elementary Teacher Association Presidents Held onto Financial Accounts even after their Terms of Office had since Expired. (Why VETA's Treasurers didn't administer these accounts is anyone's guess!) Years later, they continued to withdraw money from the account, with neither the knowledge nor consent of the association. These accounts, which were established as trusts by the estates of deceased former teachers were intended to provide "scholarship funds" for Victorville children. These accounts were only "discovered" while attempting to locate all of the past records when it was discovered (by a new treasurer) that an enormous amount of money had not been deposited over a period of three years. These trust accounts had to be frozen because it took a tremendous amount of time to even determine who had access to them - that is, once it was discovered that they existed in the first place. The previous two "treasurers" knew nothing about these accounts (and NEVER had signature cards transferred over).

Below, is a letter sent to Victor Valley College, once it was learned that someone was withdrawing money, with neither the consent or approval of the Victor Elementary Teachers Association, from one of these accounts. It was later learned that two previous presidents were holding onto these records and were withdrawing funds - without anyone's knowledge!
