Classroom Raided At Lomitas Elementary School
A "National Blue Ribbon School"

On March 20, 1996 ALL classrooms at Lomitas Elementary School were searched for "contraband," during class time (yes, students were directly engaged in instructional activities and were attempting to study while this was happening). In fact, ALL classrooms within the Victor Elementary School District were subjected to this abuse - Lomitas Elementary just happened to be the LAST school that was raided. Click on the links below to find out what the California Teachers Association DIDN'T DO TO PROTECT EITHER THE CHILDREN OR THE TEACHERS SUBJECTED TO THIS ABUSE. Click here to see a petition, regarding this atrocity, signed by a few courageous teachers at the LAST school subjected to this raid.

bulletRead the original letter that was sent to Lois Tinson, President of the California Teachers Association concerning this travesty.
bulletA "response" (using the loosest sense of the term) from Lois Tinson.
bulletA "response" (again, using the loosest sense of the term) from Beverly Tucker, Chief Counsel for CTA.
bulletThe sarcastic response received from Bill Ribblett, the CTA/NEA High Desert Service Unit Representative. (Hey, is this guy for real?)
bulletA petition, by Lomitas Elementary School Teachers, in response to Bill Ribblett's "response." Naturally, CTA/NEA NEVER TOOK ANY ACTION ON THIS HORRIBLE MATTER.
