One Class
Special Ed Students

What do you think? Is this BLATANT Racism?

It won't take long, by looking at the following photos (student faces have been obscured to protect the privacy of the students), from the Lomitas Elementary School Year Book, that there is something VERY wrong with the way classes were created there! Double click on each photo to see a full size view of each one.

White Classes?

A closer view of these photos will show that, apparently just TWO CHILDREN, out of all of those listed below, are African American. The actual yearbook seems to indicate that these children are brother and sister, no less!

Segregated Classes?

Even a cursory glance at these pictures will show that there appear to be at least SEVENTEEN CHILDREN, out of the following classes that are African American! See if you can determine how many Asian American, Hispanic, and other groups are listed in the classes below - certainly that figure will also be MUCH greater than the classes shown above.  Furthermore, readers will note that, unlike the class pictures listed above, the rate of movement in and out of these classes was much greater - students listed at the bottom of each class photo moved in sometime after the beginning of the school year.  It is also important to note that students who moved in and later moved out are NOT listed!
