Story:

I am not a teacher. I am a parent of a child mainstreamed in 5th grade (he is in a special ed. program and works with a aid.) He works at a 3rd grade level. At his IEP all parties agreed for the next year he should be in the 4th grade. He is showing improvement in all areas. After his IEP I was told the only thing necessary was the district's approval. Of course they do not want to approve this as they have to pay for more education for my son. Of course now the fight is on however the worst thing of all is that all of the personnel around my son are afraid to talk to me. They have caught me aside and said that the district is full of #### but they are to scared to talk to me. Now also they have asked me for help to deal with other parents who have problems with the district and their kids. Please Help...Diane *****
