Books for Teachers and Others Who Care! The following books and materials are recommended reading for those who are concerned with the corruption that exists in our schools or are in need of assistance for trying to help children. A small portion from the sale of these books will be used towards maintaining this web site. Required Reading! Breaking the Silence: Overcoming
the Problem of Principal Mistreatment of Teachers - This monumental
work, deals specifically with the topic of widespread and gross abuse
of teachers by American school administrators, provides a horrifying look at what really
happens in our schools. What makes this book even more powerful, is that it
reports on the findings of genuine research by respected education scholars,
Drs. Joseph and Jo Blase of the University of Georgia. This book is REQUIRED
READING FOR ANY EDUCATOR WHO HAS EVER BEEN SUBJECTED TO ABUSE.
For teachers who have been, or may have been, subjected to psychological damage (i.e., diagnosed with depression, anxiety, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, etc.) by evil administrators, Breaking the Silence can bring to the surface very intense emotions. Such teachers might wish to read this book with assistance from other abused teachers or support systems (i.e., a supportive family member(s), therapist, doctor, counselor, pastor, support group, etc.). While ASEE cannot provide medical advice, we believe that this book will be extremely useful in the healing process of many damaged teachers. ASEE is currently in the process of studying the feasibility of establishing a special (closed) news list just for those needing a place to discuss the contents of this book.
